Developing a public data good: Climate adaptation and resilience observatory

Conventional survey methods often overlook the most climate-vulnerable groups in the Global South, where rising temperatures could push 1.2 billion people outside a livable climate by 2030. This gap limits stakeholders’ ability to anticipate, track, and understand their needs and to craft, target, and evaluate solutions for those most affected by climate impacts. This project will fill information gaps about climate-vulnerable populations by creating, testing, and deploying the “Climate Adaptation and Resilience Observatory,” which will enable rapid, flexible, targeted, repeated, and scalable phone-based micro-surveys of participants facing climate risks and impacts.
