A new guide co-produced by the Stanford Ecopreneurship program and the Stanford Sustainability Accelerator supports academic innovators who want to translate their innovations into impact. The report includes case studies from Stanford faculty who have successfully navigated for-profit startups, nonprofits, licensing, and other ventures to build projects, technologies, and organizations.

Stanford Ecopreneurship helps Stanford students, postdocs, and faculty discover and navigate the wealth of Stanford courses, programs, grants, and communities available to help them become “ecopreneurs” equipped to build public, private, and non-profit organizations that can scale sustainability solutions.

TomKat Center resources

The TomKat Center, based at the Stanford Sustainability Accelerator, has a portfolio of programs and activities that empower students, researchers, and innovators to translate sustainability innovations into impactful products and businesses. TomKat awards graduate fellowships, summer internships, and project grants.

Climate Tech Map

The Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability and the Accelerator are among six contributors to the Climate Tech Map, a free platform that identifies areas where technical innovation can help accelerate decarbonization. The map seeks to ignite bold, scalable breakthroughs and drive global investment in existing, emerging, and yet-to-be-discovered climate technologies.
